Our View and Vision
Avian influenza infection in humans is of grave concern. Health authorities
worldwide fear an imminent and inevitable influenza pandemic in addition to
the more routine but still serious threats posed by annual influenza and other
respiratory pathogens. The inadequacy of current prophylactic and therapeutic
modalities has become all too clear. In response, NexBio, Inc. is developing
broad-spectrum therapeutic and prophylactic agents to protect the public from
all annual and pandemic variations of influenza, as well as from other
life-threatening respiratory viral infections.other life-threatening respiratory viral

A Message From Our Chairman
The focus for our drug development program for
the last several years has been influenza, and
we are leading the quest for a therapy that is
broad-spectrum, safe, and can be
mass-produced for widespread distribution.
Our founding team has a track record of
innovative product development programs for
antiviral therapies. This team is supported by
an energetic and productive staff of scientists
with expertise in biopharmaceutical
development. Our distinguished Advisory Board
“If necessity is the
Mother of inventions,
then revenue is the
Father".
-- Brent Zettl
consists of industry leaders that have played key roles in bringing innovative
biopharmaceutical products to the marketplace. They add additional
expertise in research, manufacturing, preclinical, clinical development, and
regulatory affairs to the staff at NexBio. They are joined by collaborators
working with NexBio that include top influenza experts from the University of
Virginia, Utah State University, NIAID, and others. The Advisory Board and
our expert collaborators are helping NexBio develop a first-in-class influenza
medicine, our flagship product Fludase®, at a speed which is
unprecedented for the biopharmaceutical industry. This effort is backed by
significant funding from the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious
Disease (NIAID), a branch of the National Institutes of Health. We are
currently seeking corporate partnerships from companies that have
extensive experience in late stage drug development and commercialization.
I invite you to contact me personally if you are interested in such a
partnership.
